Now there’s Bit.ly, which gleans links from the Twittersphere and tracks where the link is being shared and how many people are clicking on it. It’s all “anonymized” of course. Wouldn’t it be interesting if as much energy was spent on private data? Like banking info? health records? tax records? Or even just Facebook data.
Admittedly, we’re still in the early stages of getting all of that information in digital form…
